Musical theatre dance is historically under-researched, yet it serves as a critical repository for our collective cultural narrative.

This article interrogates how we value theatrical dance practices, arguing that by elevating this form within scholarly discourse, we preserve a vital piece of performance history and deepen our understanding of a shared American cultural identity

Musical Theatre Dance Residency

Facilitating this three-day masterclass allowed me to merge intensive, studio-based musical theatre training with critical academic presentations on the genre's history. This dual approach provided the student body with a rare synthesis of rigorous physical practice and intellectual context, ultimately deepening their artistic literacy and preparing them for the multidisciplinary demands of the modern industry.
