Dance and theatre have been the throughline of my life, shaping how I connect people, build teams, and design meaningful artistic experiences.

Transforming audience engagement and engineering the revitalization of theatre and dance organizations has been my life’s work. From the stage to leadership and through my association with Dayton Performing Arts, Jacob’s Pillow, Dance Data Project, Barrington Stage Company, and more, guided by the belief that the arts connect and strengthen communities.
I bring a performer’s creativity, a professor’s dedication to mentorship, and an administrator’s strategic vision to every collaboration, leaving organizations stronger than I found them.
Redefining dance and theatre programs has been at the heart of my academic career—through visionary artistic leadership, departmental directorship, and a deep commitment to teaching, mentoring, and empowering students. I have shaped curricula, designed innovative programs, and led inclusive initiatives at institutions across the U.S., including the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, University of California Irvine, Colorado Mesa University, University of Memphis, and Northern Kentucky University, where I earned tenure.
As an academic change maker, my work continues to focus on preparing the next generation of artists and leaders to thrive, ensuring that dance and theatre remain vibrant, transformative forces in education and society.
My professional performing career (AEA) carried me across the country and onto some of the most celebrated stages, including Broadway tours, regional theatres, dance companies, and commercial productions. Highlights include Radio City Christmas Spectacular, A Chorus Line, West Side Story, Sweet Charity, Show Boat, and many more—each experience deepening my love for the craft and my understanding of the artist’s journey.
These years on stage shaped my resilience, discipline, and collaborative spirit, laying the foundation for my later work as a professor, choreographer, and arts leader. Performing remains the heartbeat of my career, informing every decision I make as I create opportunities for others to connect through dance and theatre.
